海外に越してから日本語を忘れない様に、また私と同じ様な状況の人の励みになったら、と思い書き始めました。今はカナダと日本でのホームスクール生活、大学受験の経験談等を書いています。
少々の綴り、文法の間違い等は温かい目で見てもらえると嬉しいです。
Hi, I’m Yumai. I used to blog over at (Old) Wardrobe and switched to this site starting 2020.
I’m a Christian homeschool graduate of ’20. I started blogging to retain my Japanese writing skills and also as an encouragement to others like me. (I also blog under S. J. Barnard for writing and books.)
I currently write about my homeschool life in Canada and Japan, navigating the high school years as a homeschooler, and college application tips.

『いしょうだんすのなか』とは
もうご存じの方もいらっしゃると思いますが、私はこよなくC. S. Lewisを愛しています。好きな作家と言ったら四人いますが、その中でも多分一番好きなのがC. S. Lewisです。
C. S. Lewisは『ナルニア国物語』でも有名ですが、他の作品も素晴らしい物ばかりで、神学者でもクリスチャンになりたての人にも絶賛される本が数々あります。私のブログの名前を考えていた時にもやっぱり、「何かC. S. Lewisに因んだ名前が良いなぁ～」と思っていました。
そこで出来た名前が『いしょうだんすのなか』です。
最初にナルニアに踏み込んだ時のワクワク感とその中に隠されている壮大なる聖書感を体験できるブログにしたいと思っての事。更に、昔はどの家にもあったいしょうだんす。ちょっとした古風主義も味わえる、でも尚且つ家の一隅みたいな雰囲気をイメージしています。
そんな『いしょうだんすのなか』を読んでみて下さい。
As many of you might already know (esp. if you are a S. J. Barnard reader), I LOVE C. S. Lewis. There are exactly four authors that come to my mind when someone says “favourite authors”, but C. S. Lewis trumps them all.
C. S. Lewis is world famous for his Chronicles of Narnia, but there are other countless fabulous works that theologians and new Christians alike enjoy. When I was thinking of my blog name, I knew I wanted to include something C. S. Lewis-y.
And ergo, In the Wardrobe was born!
I want my blog to be that first step inside Narnia with its excitement bubbling up and the spectacular Biblical worldview integrated. It’s that wardrobe that everyone used to own back in the days–it’s a little old-fashioned, but also homely. That’s what I hope to translate into my blog.
And this is In the Wardrobe.
